PCD is thrilled to welcome five new members to our Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees, made up of PCD and HBS alumni, current parents and alumni parents, is tasked with the responsibility of providing strategic guidance to PCD’s school administration and serves as the school’s greatest champions and cheerleaders. We are so very fortunate to have these new representatives joining our Board for this school year.
Daniel Da Ponte Daniel is a lifelong Rhode Islander and the Founder and Managing Principal of Axis Wealth Partners, LLC, based in East Providence, RI. A former Rhode Island State Senator and Chair of the Senate Finance Committee, he has dedicated much of his career to serving the community, including leadership roles on the boards of the Greater Providence YMCA and Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island. Daniel holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Rhode Island and a Master’s degree in Personal Financial Planning from Kansas State University. He and his wife, Marcia, are parents of two Upper School students - Antonio and Sofia.
Azarig “Ozzie” Kooloian Jr.’ 87 After PCD, Ozzie went on to graduate from Providence College, studying business and finance. He has been involved in construction and real estate investment, managing both his family’s business and his own. Ozzie serves as a director of the North Providence Housing Authority and is an active Board member for the Armenian Heritage Association of RI. He has also served on numerous committees for the Armenian Student’s Association of America and Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Church in Providence. He and his wife Lori live in North Providence with their three daughters, including alums Ava ’21 and Lana ’25.
Christina Paolino DiMeglio ’05 Christina earned her BA in Sociology from Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia. After college, Christina built her career in construction and real estate, with experience spanning Boston, MA, and Charlotte, NC, before returning home to Rhode Island. She holds a Rhode Island contractor’s license and is a licensed realtor in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Christina is actively involved both in her family’s business, Paolino Properties, based in Providence, and Domain Properties. Her son Mikey just completed his Kindergarten year at PCD and will enter First Grade in the fall of 2025, continuing the family’s legacy at the school.
Santana Rocha ’16 After graduating PCD (and many years after graduating from HBS), Santanna attended Providence College, where she studied philosophy and sociology. She continued her studies at the University of Connecticut School of Law, where she simultaneously pursued a law degree and a masters degree in social work. Upon graduation, Santanna then joined the Rhode Island Judiciary as a two-term judicial law clerk to the Honorable Justice Melissa A. Long of the Rhode Island Supreme Court. Santanna also utilizes her social work degree part-time at Hasbro Children's Hospital where she works in emergency psychiatric services. She additionally serves her community by volunteering for non-profit organizations in the business of providing legal services.
Jon Uihlein ’06 After graduating from PCD, Jon attended the Rochester Institute of Technology, where he studied software development and the history of technology and science, graduating with a BS in Information Technology. Post graduation, Jon joined Esri, the global leader in Geographic Information System technology, where he now works as a senior software developer specializing in web mapping application development. He is also a regular featured speaker at the company’s annual Developer and Technology Summit conference in Palm Springs, California. Jon is the parent of two current Lower School students.
