"PCD helped make my dreams of becoming a professional ballet dancer come true. From tailoring my schedule to allow for extra time in the studio, to bringing school groups on field trips to see my performances, PCD supported me every step of the way, throughout my time as a student and beyond. I have nothing but gratitude for the respect PCD shows to students seeking a career in the arts."

"Ballet gave me a strong sense of purpose and identity from a young age. The confidence and discipline I gained through training directly contributed to my academic success at PCD. Being part of both communities fostered a deep sense of belonging and self-assurance that shaped who I am today. I wouldn’t be the same without the balance of these two worlds, and I wouldn’t trade either for anything."

“I am so thankful to have been able to attend both PCD and the School of Ballet RI in high school. From a young age, I always knew that I needed to pursue a career in dance and the arts but was also curious about the academic world as well. PCD made it possible for me to receive the ballet training I needed while also preparing me to attend college. It meant so much to me to attend a school where the arts were taken just as seriously as the academic subjects.”

"Having the scholarship was almost surprising because I never thought I would find that opportunity between school and ballet. They were always very separated in my life and I never thought I could intertwine arts and education that way."

"Ballet is very goal oriented and I feel like the way it focuses on progress and the work ethic you develop is huge. I'm very grateful I was able to keep that while at PCD. It’s not just an activity after school, it’s an art."
