Providence Country Day Welcomes Two New Members to the Leadership Team

Providence Country Day School has welcomed two new members to its leadership team - Bobby Britto-Oliveira, Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging, and Robert Penha, Director of Finance and Operations. Both bring extensive professional experience, strong ties to Rhode Island communities, and a shared commitment to supporting the people and institutions they serve.
Bobby Britto-Oliveira, Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging
 
Bobby Britto-Oliveira joins PCD after serving as Assistant Director of the University of Rhode Island’s Multicultural Student Services Center. Bobby has spent much of his career advocating for young people. During his time at URI, he was the first Coordinator of Student Diversity Initiatives for URI’s College of Environment and Life Sciences, and an academic advisor for Talent Development. He has also served as a high school advisor. Bobby earned bachelor’s degrees in Secondary Education and History and a master’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies - all from the University of Rhode Island.
 
Beyond his professional work, Bobby has remained deeply connected to the Rhode Island
communities that helped shape him. He is a member and Hall of Fame inductee of the Fox
Point Boys & Girls Club Alumni Association and an alum and member the Rhode Island College
Upward Bound Program Scholarship Committee. He also serves on the board of the Alliance for
Rhode Island Southeast Asians for Education and has been a longtime co-chair of URI’s Alumni of Color Network. In addition, Bobby is an alum and advisor of Brothers On a New Direction.
 
At PCD, Bobby will lead the school’s ongoing work to cultivate a community where every student, family, faculty and staff member feels a sense of belonging and has the opportunity to thrive.
 
Robert Penha, Director of Finance and Operations
 
Robert Penha joins PCD with extensive experience in accounting, financial management and organizational operations. Most recently, he served as a Senior Staff Accountant in Controller Succession & Financial Operations at Delta Mechanical Contractors. Previously, he was Controller & Finance Manager for DBVW Architects and served as Interim Financial Controller at St. George’s School in Middletown, RI. Earlier in his career, he worked as a Financial Advisor – Manager, Vice President at Baystate Financial.
 
A graduate of the University of Rhode Island, Robert earned both his B.S. and M.S. in Accounting. He also brings a strong commitment to the Rhode Island community through his service as Board Treasurer & Finance Committee Chair for Bike Newport.
 
As Director of Finance and Operations, Robert will oversee the school’s financial and operational functions, helping ensure that PCD’s resources and infrastructure continue to support its students, faculty and staff and the school’s long-term growth.
