  1. Welcome and President’s Report- Kathy O’Grady
    • Thank everyone for their participation with teacher appreciation
    • Sunday we chalked the walk
    • Monday, we thanked the teachers with allie’s donuts and seven stars
    • Wednesday, we had thank you cookies
    • Friday, we gave out bottles of wine
      • On parent / teacher conference day we did lunch from Avenue N
    • Wendy Sheridan has been working the box tops
      • If you have any please scan your items
      • Get parents to sign up for the app at the lawn games night (before welcome back bbq)

  2. Head of School Report- Kevin Folan
    • The year has flown by
    • Very thankful for the teacher appreciation tradition
    • Strong PCD event for play for PCD
    • Kelly Dorfman nutritionist – impact on our bodies pre-k-12
    • Art center is on time and on budget
    • Flipping classrooms into the art center
      • Carve band room into 3 classrooms
      • Enrollment will be up by 10%
      • Just a little over 400 students
    • Little Shop of Horrors will be done at McVinney
    • Field Day, End of Year projects, Graduation and other events
      • Please make sure you check your Friday emails
      • FA provides Palagi ice cream truck
      • Late May a Dels truck for the whole school – typically when the seniors do their senior project
 
  1. Admissions Update- Melanie Parsons
    • New families’ mentors – making matches based on towns and citiies and interest levels
      • If you haven’t volunteered, please do
      • Need a few more folks for upper Tuesday
      • Next Tues / Wednesday Mel and Kevin will share details over zoom and be provided a one sheet for families
      • May 27th New Knights ice cream social at 4:30 (LS playground, MS & HS scavenger hunt)
      • July 30th (Thursday) community lawn game night 4:30-5
 
  1. Development Update-Mark McLaughlin
    • Play for PCD – very successful weekend
    • 128 guests
      • Live auction
      • On Monday 120 golfers
      • Raises $217,000 – near the highest ever
      • Greater participation with 2 day events
      • Thinking of moving the date next year into deeper May
    • Hot Club event in August
    • Young Alumni event in August
    • Mark and Kevin went into NYC – hosted an event of 25 alums
    • Looking ahead to the start of school
      • Formal opening of the arts center
    • Thanks to John and Jahdae for their hardwork
