  1. Welcome and President’s Report- Kathy O’Grady
    • Thank you for coming out in the meeting even in the snow
    • 6 people attended via zoom
    • Promoting Box Tops initiative
      • Coordinator/Contact: Wendy Sheridan
      • Please download Box Tops app, pick PCD
      • A portion of the proceeds goes back to the school and the school and fund school initiatives and resources.
      • We are thinking of having a class challenge where the most parents of each class that sign up will earn that class a kindness (i.e. movie, pajama day, pizza party, etc.)
    • Teacher Appreciation:
      • First week of May
      • May 4th – 8th
      • Chalk the Walk on May 3rd  in front of the school.  All welcome - bring your friends and kids. Chalk is provided and coffee and donuts will be served.  We will decorate the sidewalks to thank all our teachers and staff.
      • The Board is soliciting ideas for Teacher Appreciation week.  Please contact someone on the FA board if you have a good/new idea.
      • The Family Association will be collecting items for LS, MS and HS raffle baskets for the teachers. More to come via your class coordinators. 
      • One of the days for Teacher appreciation will be a catered box lunch.
    • In April, the 7th, 8th and 9th grade classes will have a parent meet-up at Track 15 sponsored by the Family Association.  Please have your class coordinator contact the FA board to have your own meet-up.
  2. Head of School Report- Kevin Folan
    • Welcoming everyone
      • A couple of updates
      • Entire community will be involved
      • Message went out yesterday, the new arts center will have an official name
        • Largest gift in the history
      • Believes in the importance of snow days
        • If we have significant multiple snow days we will look to zoom
        • Feb 10th (Tuesday) annual Knight Day of Giving
      • March 6th pre-k-12th world culture day
  3. Johnson Thomas
    • Rachel’s Challenge
      • Loat her life in Columbine in ‘99
      • 5-6 on Thursday – please RSVP to the event – being held in Hubbard long hall (auditorium)
      • Partnered up with the school and create a chain reaction of kindness
      • One of the largest events they have done
      • Trained tens and thousands of people
  4. Development Updated – Mark McLaughlin
    • Knight & Day of Giving Feb 10th
      • 2 years ago, fell on a snow day
      • Knight and snow day giving
    • Largest fundraiser – all the funds raised go to annual fund
    • Lots of planning – fun videos
    • Homepage – becoming an advocate – click the link and sign up to be an advocate – take the unique links to each person
      • Take 15 mins to share
      • On the day of you can track your advocacy
        • How many clicks you’ve generated, how much money has been raised for the school
    • Teachers and students will be out in the car lane with postcards with QR codes
      • Theme: Play the Game
      • Would love to hit 200 donors and six figures raised
    • Matches and challenges – community wide challenges – challenges center around arts / athletics – robotics team putting up a challenge
    • Annual fund helps with bridging the gap between tuition and costs
      • Website will have FAQ to answer people’s questions or provide more information
      • A video will go out the night before of a breakdown of amount of money and where it goes
      • You can designate where your gift goes
  5. Questions / Closing
    • You can still donate a check via snail mail if you don’t want to donate online
    • Find the new families and be a support to new and incoming events
