Art & Exploration Camp
An interactive day camp for children ages 4–11 that combines studio arts and outdoor exploration.
Earth and sky, woods and fields, lakes and rivers, the mountain and the sea, are excellent schoolmasters, and teach some of us more than we can ever learn from books.
Students will be introduced to painting, drawing, and sculpture while they investigate and learn about the natural world. By combining these two disciplines, campers will discover art, nature, and creativity in the studios, the Da Vinci Nature Lab and the 18 acres of woodlands on the PCD campus.

What I Love About PCD A&E
Ellie, age 10: "...this camp makes me feel really alive, it's so fun!"
Zach, age 9: "I just learned what I can do to save the planet, it's not that hard."
Dorothy, age 6: "There's so many fun things to do at this camp and I get to choose every day!"
Abby, age 8: "I like camp better than school because the counselors are really cool and get messy in the studio with me."
Chris, age 10: "I just won the egg drop! I might need to be an engineer instead of a baseball player."
"My two girls have been going to PCD arts and exploration camp for the past two summers. They absolutely love it!! I love that it is a small tight knit group. The staff is so friendly and caring to me and my girls. The projects my girls come home with are amazing! Certainly not your average art camp. They will most definitely be going back this summer!”
“Our 9 year old daughter has really enjoyed PCD A&E for three years. She loves the excitement of making art projects that are inspiring and more involved than what she might do at school during the year. She has loved bonding with the warm and nurturing counselors and learning about our local environment and our world. I can’t say enough about A&E. Our little one will start this year!”
“My son has loved the balance between time to work on projects and the varied pacing of offerings. He hopes to become a PCD A&E counselor when he gets too old to be a camper!”
