Providence Country Day School Achieves Record Enrollment for 2026-27
Providence Country Day School is proud to announce record-breaking enrollment for the 2026–2027 academic year, marking a significant milestone in the school’s continued growth and momentum.
This historic growth coincides with the opening of the Suzanne Young Murray Arts Center this fall. The new facility will provide dedicated, state-of-the-art space for the arts while opening up newly renovated classrooms in Metcalf Hall. Together, these expansions allow PCD to welcome more students into its community, while preserving the small class sizes and individualized attention that define a PCD education.
Growing the Community, Maintaining the Connection
As families increasingly seek a top-rated private school in Rhode Island that balances rigorous academics with a supportive environment, PCD has responded by modernizing its footprint. The new facility has freed up and added vital instructional space, ensuring that even with record numbers, our student-to-teacher ratio remains among the best in New England.
"Our record enrollment isn't just about being bigger; it’s about being better," says Kevin Folan, Head of School. "The additional square footage provided by the Suzanne Young Murray Arts Center allows us to meet the high demand for a PCD education while ensuring our classrooms remain intimate, collaborative spaces where every student is known and valued."
Limited space remains in select grades for the upcoming school year. Families exploring private education from pre-k and elementary school, middle school, and college preparatory high school options in Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts are encouraged to connect with the Admissions Office soon, as availability is expected to fill quickly.
