- Welcome everyone
- We are at the beginning of our volunteer season
- Chowder day on the 18th
- Working on a family mentor program to help acclimate new families to PCD
- Understanding the language/flow of activities
- A mentor family can take on two new families
- Look for future e-mails asking for mentor families
- PCD merchandise pop up shop on Thursday, October 9 outside near gazebo
- Get your PCD gear for the upcoming spirit week
- Family Association (FA) met with Kevin
- Reviewed extra money in the FA account and how to use funds to benefit the school
- FA funded 6 instruments – to help benefit the new arts center that’s being built
- FA would like to purchase some AV – no audio but video equipment (opening September 2026)
- Next FA meeting is November 18 at 8:15
- Considering moving the meeting to the Learning Hub
- better acoustics
- accommodate video for those who can’t attend in person

- New member John Diamond replaced Greg Abel
- Over 60 applicants

- Jump start relationships within middle school

- Chowder Day Volunteers so far – pretty evenly stacked for the beginning of the day
- Involve the kids in clean up
- Last 2 spots are still open
- 1:30-3:00 shut the line down and help clean up at the end
- Need to turnover quickly to prep for the athletic hall of fame

- Now until October 31st have over 200 new donors
- Will be in the Friday newsletter
- All the money goes back to the school

- Proceeds go to East Bay Community action
- Saturday, October 25th Spooky Day at the zoo 10am-3pm

Athletic Update -Marquis Harper
- Holiday Tea Update / Ask – Emily Howe
- Need volunteers for setting up over the 2 days
- LS will begin at 10 and the MS and US will be combined and start at 12:30-12:45
- Please bring a dish that is PEANUT AND TREE NUT FREE

*Comments – recruit new members for the family association - we need all board member positions including treasurer
- ask the teens to get involved in cleaning up / volunteering for Chowder day.
