I. Welcome and President’s Report- Melissa Carden

• April 17th will provide teachers and staff a “thank you” prior to teacher appreciation week – likely lunch catered by Avenue N, Rumford RI.
• Teacher Appreciation week- will receive small gifts, surprises throughout the week.
a. In need of sidewalk chalk to decorate and welcome teachers
b. Large “thank you” sign will be posted in school as well
• Next Family Association meeting is May 14th, will be hosted over Zoom at 815am due to increased feedback with concerns of growing bridge traffic and time constraints.
• June 4th last Family Association meeting will be an “End of year celebration” in the evening at PCD. A thank you to the families for another excellent year. New Slate for next years Family Association will be voted on. Slate is already established.

II. Head of School Report- Kevin Folan

• >160 responses from survey, which is more than received for midyear survey
a. One response in consideration for lower school drop off to be 7:30 to 8am to provide parent buffer.
b. One response in consideration is to work with upper school children to not accrue too many tardies, not wanting to risk anyone getting injured by driving too fast.
• Increase in admission and acceptance. Late May there will be an ice cream social for new families.
• Lawn games for all families July 23rd at the school

III. Development Update-Mark Mclaughlin and Michaela Walker

• Jahdae Thomas is new to the staff and has jumped in and begun working on upcoming events such as Centennial weekend.
• Looking for volunteers/upcoming events:
a. Monday May 13th: “Play for PCD” golf outing at Wannamoisett Country Club in Rumford. Luncheon and live auction.
b. Friday June 21st: Knights of Distinction event at the school- 16
inductees, past students, teachers, faculty, supporters. This is a new
event every other year.
c. Saturday June 22nd: Centennial Gala at the RI Convention Center, 400+ tickets sold thus far and looking to sell 200 more!
d. Sunday June 23rd: Family field day, a series of activities and games for all to enjoy.

A: May 4th, details to follow
Q: Is next year’s calendar out?
A: No but major dates like first day of school, winter breaks, prom, graduation will be in Friday’s newsletter/email.
