- Welcome and President’s Report- Kathy O’Grady
- Thank you to everyone who donated to the coat drive, led by Sarah Bates. We provided a coat for a two-month-old!
- Hope to see everyone at the Sip and Shop event on Hope Street Thursday night, Dec. 4th from 6-8 pm. Wine and snacks will be provided at J Marcel. Studio Hop, Frog and Toad, and phFactor are all participating. Buy spome gifts and give back to the PCD Family Association!
- Next Family Association meeting is Jan. 14th at 8”15 am in Chace.
- Teacher Appreciation Week is the week of May 5th. If you would like to help with planning, please reach out to Kathy at kathyogrady007@gmail.com
- Need a Kindergarten class coordinator – reach out to Kathy if interested.
- Holiday Tea is Dec. 19th. Lower school performance at 9:30 am, Middle School at noon and Upper School at 2:00. We need volunteers! Please sign up here - Lower school: https://signup.com/go/pdKbUoX

- Smart Phone committee update
- Kevin is meeting with the faculty next Wednesday to discuss recommendations.
- During community time in the upper school there will be designated areas for phones and no phones. There will be consequences if students don’t follow the rules.
- In the Middle School we are piloting a program called Mid Knight discussions. First meeting on Dec. 11 at 11:30 am with Kevin, Jen Caletri and Jason Roderick. Discussion will be focused on cell phones and social media. Will also meet in January and February – those dates TBD
- New program being introduced for rising juniors where there will be an opportunity to apply for summer abroad study in Rome or Greece to study art and architecture. Funded by alum Gary Christelis. Will start summer 2025. Kevin and Mark will be meeting with Juniors about it. More to come.
- Knights at Night event Tuesday night, Dec. 10 at Bellini rooftop lounge, 6:00 pm. Around 75 people have rsvp’d.
- Announcement will come out at the end of this month re: the new arts building.
- Development Update-Mark Mclaughlin and Jahdae Thomas
- The development team secures resources for the school – had a thank you luncheon for loyal donors on Nov. 16 to say thank you. There was a great turnout and so much goodwill toward the school.
- All are welcome at the Alumni Basketball event on Sat., 12/21. There will be a raffle of Celtics tickets!
- Looking for volunteers/upcoming events:

- Knight and Day of Giving, Tuesday, Feb. 11th
- Monday May 5th: “Play for PCD” golf outing at Wannamoisett Country Club in Rumford. Dinner will be held on Saturday night, May 3rd so that more can attend. In the past the dinner was held on the Monday night but we are trying something different so more can attend. May 3rd will be a dinner, live and silent auctions, also at Wannamoisett. Hope to have babysitting options, too! If you have auction item ideas reach out to Jahdae.

- Winter Sports have started
- Now have a middle school swim team that swims at Pods!
- Have a rock climbing program for middle school students, too!
- Be on the lookout for livestreaming athletic events from Moran and the varsity field.
- Anyone who would like to watch a game via live stream will have to create a free account at www.nfhsnetwork.com. Once they do, they can then search for Providence Country Day and view any HOME game for free. If you choose a pay subscription, then they'll be able to watch away contests as well. Sorry it took a while to get this to you.
