What a week! We had it all: final exams, relay races, a heat wave, more AP exams, a monsoon, field trips, and of course, Palagis (Thanks Family Association!).
Our week started off with our Lower School Field Day on Monday followed by our Middlers and Upper Schoolers Field Day on Tuesday. We lucked out with picture perfect weather both days as our students enjoyed some friendly competition. From volleyball to football toss to the culminating tug of war, Fun was had by all, but especially by the Red Team, who brought home the victory!
Congratulations to several of our Upper School students who performed exceedingly well on the National Latin Exam: Ian Treen '26 earned the Silver Medal Maxima Cum Laude; Addison Lourenco '24 and Jordan Plante '25 each earned Magna Cum Laude; Ian McCarthy '27 and Leo Woodman '27 both received Cum Laude honors. Well done!
Tonight is the big night - opening night of our spring musical, Mamma Mia! The lights go on at 6:30pm this evening. Let's be sure to get out to support Mrs. Shillan and our PCD Players...break a leg!
We are excited to welcome our seniors back to campus for their Senior Project presentations later this week. Congratulations to our spring student-athletes on wrapping up their competitive seasons this week.
Memorial Day Weekend is all about spending quality time with loved ones and enjoying some great food. I hope that you and your family get to have both this weekend. And let’s also remember why we are celebrating - to honor those military personnel who sacrificed their lives to protect our freedom. To all those in our community who sacrificed and served our country - thank you!
Have a great long weekend and see you Tuesday morning.
Go Knights!

COLLEGE COUNSELING
- Juniors
Some students, but not all, will need to ask for a second teacher recommendation. Please check the Common App Requirements grid to see if any of your colleges require a second teacher letter of recommendation. All juniors should now be working to complete their teacher and counselor letter of recommendation "Brag Sheet" surveys. These are due in Naviance by June 30th. Students should continue working with Ms. Infante to polish their Personal Statements so they are ready to upload to college applications in August.
Our next and final Community Time meeting of the year is Thursday, May 30th. We will discuss supplemental essays, adding activities to the Common App, and the summer "To Do" list. Please bring your fully charged Chromebook.
- Seniors
Please check the college you indicated in Naviance as "Attending." This is where your final transcript will be sent. PCD can send only one final transcript to the college you will attend. We cannot send final transcripts to multiple colleges - this is not considered ethical. If you are still waiting for a financial aid package, it is fine to change the college currently listed in Naviance before final transcripts are sent. Final transcripts will not be sent until after graduation. Also, please let me know if you have come off a waitlist, or let go of your spot on a waitlist.
PCD Business Office holds will apply to final transcripts. Contact Ms. Millard if you have questions.
