I. Welcome and President’s Report- Melissa Carden
• Thank you all for coming, so exciting our first meeting all together as a full
community!

• Intro to Family Association -board members
• Ice Breaker- All parents in attendance had an opportunity to share about their
child/themselves.
• We are still looking for a 4th Grade Class Coordinator- please reach out if
interested! Class Coordinator duties are primarily to disperse informational
emails to the 4th grade families on upcoming relevant events. Information is
fed to the coordinators from the school/family association.
• Friday 10/20 we will be having a “Trunk or Treat” event- more to come in
Sunday night email
• Looking for a new Treasurer and Secretary for next school year- if interested
o Emily Howe volunteered to take Secretary next year during the
meeting- thank you Emily!
• Family Association has a Facebook page- please join!

II. Head of School Report- Kevin Folan
• So excited to be all on one campus!
• Thank you for feedback thus far on ideas to improve “pick up” time in the
afternoons; keep the feedback/ideas coming please
• In general, please feel free to reach out if you think of things to make your
child’s experience better

III. Athletics Update- Marquis Harper
• Larger numbers in MS means we can now offer Archery (new) and
possibly Soft Ball!
• Cross Country team soon to have their Fun Run
• Any questions about schedules/sports, do not hesitate to reach out to
Marquis directly

IV. Development Update-Mark Mclaughlin and Michaela Walker
• Outreach, advancement, programs-working really hard to secure nice future
for the school
• Chowder day coming up October 14, encourage all to volunteer! Sign up
Genius to come soon
• Play for PCD- annual Golf Outing coming up, more to come

V. Admissions Update- Melanie Parsons
• Thank you all for so many positive comments
• October 28th, hosting admissions open house at 10am. Please spread the
word. Will be looking for volunteers to assist

VI. Question and Answer
• What age do they start sports?
o 5th, competing against other schools
o Elementary, more clinic based
• Is there a Mum’s planting day?
o Yes, prior to Chowder day, will be looking for volunteers and sending out a Sign Up Genius for Chowder day in general- Mum planting will be a part of that
• Chowder Day appropriate for grandparents too?
o Yes, anyone and everyone are welcome!
• Late Drop off, where do we go?
o Murray House to sign them in
• Absence, who do we contact?
