PURCHASING YOUR BOOKS:
All PCD required summer reading and textbooks are available through MBS, an online bookstore that offers excellent pricing and service. The bookstore is open June 4 for both summer reading requirements and the academic year.
You are not required to buy your books from MBS Direct. To see a list of the books that are required for your classes (to borrow from your RI school district or to buy elsewhere) go to the MBS Direct website and select your classes from the menu provided. Your required books will be displayed.
TEXTBOOKS FOR RHODE ISLAND RESIDENTS (ONLY):
Cities and towns in Rhode Island will provide their residents with textbooks that are on the approved Rhode Island Department of Education book list. (You can search for an individual title, isbn#, or only select your town to see the complete list of all approved titles.) Please contact your town's school department for the dates and times when residents can order textbooks for the 2019-2020 school year and return those borrowed for the 2018-2019 school year.
Providence, East Providence, or North Kingstown:
Please submit the RI Resident Book Loan Form below if you live in Providence, East Providence, or North Kingstown.
**For all other towns, print out the completed form and bring to your local school department.**
This resource is for students who may be eligible to receive textbooks from local RI school departments. You can search for an individual title or only select your town to see the complete list of approved titles.
