An intensive studio experience combined with leadership skills development for serious artists aged 12–15.

Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts.

Rachel Carson

As part of PCD A&E Camp, young artists aged 12-15 engage in art making and leadership development throughout each session of the LEAPP program. Campers will have a daily combined experience of intensive studio time and leadership skill building. Both challenging and rewarding, leadership skills enhance a young teen’s experience with the world around them. Skills like first aid, nature education, teaching and interpersonal communication will be taught. Campers develop a well-rounded base of knowledge that will empower them to lead. Intense studio time gives each artist the opportunity to create meaningful artwork. Campers set up their own workspace and visually explore environmentally inspired subjects using three-dimensional and two-dimensional media. This supervised setting allows campers to dig in and search for their own visual languages. Campers are invited to register for 1, 2, 3, or all 4 weeks.
