After growing her hair for roughly four years, Juli Dick '20 cut 14 inches to donate to the national children's nonprofit organization Children with Hair Loss.
Children with Hair Loss provides human hair wigs at no cost to children and young adults facing medically related hair loss. Since 2000, they've helped more than 5,000 children who have suffered hair loss due to cancer treatments, burns, alopecia, trichotillomania, and other conditions.
"I've been growing my hair for a while, and I just thought, 'Why waste it?'" said Juli. "And I'd love to give it to others who don't have any." Before heading to North Dartmouth's Salon En Vogue on November 26 for the big chop, Juli's locks were 27 inches — over two feet — long. "I feel like being a senior, I'm ready to move on from things," she explained. "Just have a fresh change."
