The Rhode Show featured Head of School Kevin Folan to talk about common challenges facing both middle and high school students today. Folan advises that students should avoid any pressure to specialize in one area with academics, sports or any personal interests. "Students are missing opportunities to try new things," he says. Technology such as smartphones are a critical learning tool but if not used in moderation, they can also hurt a young student's abilities to build relationships and practice interpersonal communication skills.
