Director of Library and Media Services

We currently have an opening for a Director of Library and Media Services, effective July 1, 2018. The position will be responsible for expanding available technological and media services to transform our current program into a 21st Century library and resource center. The successful candidate will position research as a creative tool; have expertise with available technologies and their applications; assist and lead students and teachers in understanding the full range of library services and opportunities; support teachers with technological integration for research projects; plan, develop, and implement library programs that engage teachers and students; communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; and establish, foster, and maintain positive working relationships.

Other duties will be assigned, including, but not limited to advising, coaching or activity leadership, and study hall monitoring.

Increasingly responsible experience in a professional library setting and a Master’s degree in Library Science or related field from an accredited university are preferred.

High School Math Teacher

We are currently searching for a full-time high school math teacher with the ability to teach calculus and AP-level mathematics. Position includes student advisory responsibilities. Willingness to collaborate closely across curriculum and engage in experiential classroom lessons is essential. 3-5 years teaching experience in an independent school and the ability to coach a sport and/or lead an extra curricular activity are preferred.

Director of Development

We currently have an opening, effective July 1, 2018, for a full-time Director of Development, to lead and implement the school's overall fund-raising efforts and have a voice in overall communications. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: communication, cultivation, and management of a $650K annual fund; personal outreach; management of Trustee development committee; major gift fund-raising; and oversight of gift acknowledgement. The position reports directly to the Head of School, collaborates with other lead administrators and the campaign director, and interacts frequently with the Board of Trustees.

5-7 years philanthropic management experience, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a sense of humor are required. Independent school experience preferred.

Director of Communications

We currently are seeking a strategic, creative, hands on, tech savvy Director of Communications effective July 1. The successful candidate will have 5-7 years experience (preferably in a school or other non-profit), managing all internal and external outreach. Exceptional oral and written communication skills are a must. The position also requires graphic design and production experience using Quark and/or InDesign, website content management skills, multi-media campaign experience (including social), excellent organizational skills, and the ability to think big picture while up to your knees in the weeds.
