Flexible Options
There are many estate planning vehicles designed to meet a wide variety of personal financial and philanthropic goals. Following are some of the most common options. Please consult your financial advisor to determine the best way to proceed.
Bequest Provisions
It is easy to remember PCD with a simple provision in your estate plan. Donations can be made through a:
• Will (A specific amount or a percentage of your assets can be gifted.)
• Living trust
• Life Insurance policy
• Qualified retirement plan
Support should be designated to the “Trustees of Providence Country Day School, a charitable and educational institution in East Providence, RI.”
Gifts That Give Back to the Donor
PCD offers a Charitable Gift Annuity, a mutually beneficial program that provides lifetime income to the donor as well as income tax relief. These significant benefits enable many donors to leverage the amount of their gift to the School.
The Charitable Gift Annuity pays a fixed income for one or two lifetimes (minimum gift: $20,000). Payments are fixed and backed by the full assets of the Rhode Island Foundation. The rate paid by the annuity is determined by the age(s) of the income beneficiaries, and a portion of the income may be tax advantaged.
