For eight days students are immersed in the seat of the artistic renaissance in Florence, explore Etruscan ruins, and envision the complexities of life during the ancient Roman Empire through visits to the centuries-old ruins in and around Rome.  A day in the Vatican reveals the center of the Christian world and an art collection that is among the most important in the world.  And a day trip to Pompeii, guided by a local specialist, provides an unrivaled view of the city’s excavations and reconstructions.
